My kids love this book. I read it to them in both the Japanese and English as I go along, and they are learning to speak Japanese right along with me. I am still new to hiragana so I like that the romaji is there, but it can become very distracting when I'm trying to focus on and sound out only the hiragana. Still, it is simple enough to just cover up the romaji when I am practicing. All in all an adorable book, and a family favorite.

My 15 month old LOVES this book! He makes me read it to him every night. It has a pretty nice message that if other people are being negative, or critical, you should just go about doing your own thing and not be concerned about them. Recommended!

Easy read for someone who is learning a new language or is trying to help a bilingual child.

Wish that it didn't have the romanization for the Japanese. Overall not bad, but when I was reading it the romanization got distracting.
