No scriptural gymnastics are necessary when scripture is studied in the proper context. Brian Godawa has done just that. Very well researched, written, and refreshingly clear and understaable. I am much more knowledgeable about actual end times events, and the sons of God after reading this wonderful book. I pray its reach spans the globe to enlighten the world to the authenticity of Scripture and the Salvation offered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

This was an excellent lesson on the transitional period from the old covenant to the new. I had not realized that period was viewed by the early church fathers as "the end of Days" for the old covenant. It makes sense. The book was clear, well written, and thought-provoking. I'm not sure I agree with the author's take on the role of demons in our present time. I worked thirty five years as a psychiatric nurse and I can state from experience that there are the mentally sick, and the evil sick that are far beyond just evil. Scripture says that God turns certain sinners over to a reprobate mind. Toward the end of the book, I wanted the writer to continue - what about thyue war in heaven described in Revelation? The devil and his angels are cast out of heaven; is that still in the future? What about the angels released from the Euphrates River that go forth to kill? As I said, this book answered a lot of my questions, but caused many more. One thing about it, I was really glad that I had already read some of Michael Heiser's books.

Godawa has put together an excellent theological treatise on the Deuteronomy 32 world view as espoused by Dr. Michael Hauser as well as the subject of the Divine Council. This book really helped me piece together a lot of my own struggles with how all of this fits into the Biblical narrative and the here and now that we live in as Christ followers. I've already purchased his book on End Times Prophecy so I can keep diving into this author / theologian's awesome work.

This was a very thoughtful and biblical handling of one of the trickier biblical subjects that is typically fodder for all kinds of wild speculation, gnostic interpretive twisting, and sensationalism. I've read a number of such books because the topic fascinates me, but this was the first one that carefully handled the difficult biblical topic within a coherent Christian understanding that does not fly in the face of the ancient teachings and traditions of the Faith. There is certainly grounds for some speculation, and I would have liked to see some details of the topic addressed more in depth (like whether the traditional association of the divine Watchers with angels is too simplistic, since angels don't have flesh and cannot reproduce), but I suppose that is work for another book. As it stands, this was a good, well-presented, succinct treatment of the topic.

This book ties together a lot of verses in the Bible that were confusing to me before. If you've ever been reading the Bible and had a moment of "that sounds crazy! What is it talking about?" then this book is for you.I would sum this book up as a worldview from a Heavenly perspective.

I enjoyed, at long last a Bible based explanation of "Watchers" and Evil power over nations and land. It was presented with clarity and Bible based explanation.

One of the interesting things about Biblical prophecy is that the prophet received his message from a spiritual visit to the Divine Council. Revelations is a good example, though other incidents (1 Kings 22) are also clearly spelled out. This is an in depth exegesis from Hebrew of the 82nd Psalm concerning the Council and how it plays in various parts of the Bible. I recommend it. It serves as a basis of the author's other books on the OT (Unseen Realm and Supernatural)
